This session will describe clinical and electromechanical monitoring necessary during dental conscious sedation.

- discuss the importance of monitoring patients undergoing conscious sedation
- list the different methods of monitoring patients under conscious sedation
- explain how electromechanical monitoring devices work and their limitations
In dentistry, conscious sedation is most commonly provided by inhalational or intravenous routes.
This session will describe clinical and electromechanical monitoring necessary during dental conscious sedation.
Before commencing this session you should have:
- basic knowledge of conscious sedation
- knowledge of assessment for conscious sedation
