Echo in Life Support courses are designed and delivered by consultant emergency physicians. 

Practical skills are emphasised with a focus on the integration of peri arrest echocardiography assessment in an arrest scenario, including a resuscitation simulation. 

This intensive, one day course has over 5 hours of practical scanning. 

This course has been designed for candidates with prior ultrasound experience and who want to extend their specialist scanning skills. 

Relevance to General Practice

GPs, particularly those working in rural and remote areas, are increasingly utilizing ultrasound across a broad range of clinical applications. 

A number of medical organizations, colleges and professional bodies therefore recognize the need for physicians to undertake formal training to develop their ultrasound skills.
