Annual Delegates Conference 2020

Friday, November 20 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
What’s it all about
Every year the ANMF honour our amazing Workplace Reps with an Annual Delegates Conference. This year, as Tasmanian’s begin to find their feet post COVID-19, we are excited to announce that registrations are open. Whilst the event will look a little different this year, we are sure you will still have a great time and learn a bunch.
In the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, the work of our members has been in the spotlight like never before. COVID-19 has put nurses, midwives, and care workers on the frontline in the fight against the pandemic both globally and locally. During this time it has been Workplace Representatives like you are at the forefront, actively advising and supporting your colleagues and the broader Tasmanian community.
We would like to recognise and thank you for your commitment to this during our Annual Delegates Conference on Friday 20 November 2020. The full day event will provide you with the opportunity to build relationships with peers and stakeholders, provide feedback on issues faced in the workplace, as well as receive quality education and information on a range of topics. This year’s theme will be 2020 Year of the Nurse and the Midwife – understanding and overcoming COVID-19. Over the day, delegates will hear from industry professionals involved in leading best practice actions and conversations to overcome the pandemic.
How it will work in 2020Due to COVID-19 we have had to revise the way we deliver this year’s conference. Our main priority is the safety and health of our Workplace Reps, stakeholders, and staff. For this reason, this year’s ADC will be held over one day from the Crowne Plaza in Hobart and concurrently live streamed via Zoom to those unable to attend in person. This will allow us to ensure social distancing requirements are met. But don’t worry, we will be offering our Reps in the North and North West the options to bus down for the day. Busses will be arranged and paid for by the ANMF, simply indicate that this is what you would like to do and we will arrange the rest. While we know that some elements of ADC that you have come to know and love will be missing, we are aiming to put together a conference that still recognises, rewards, and educates our incredible Workplace Reps.
