A graduate-entry, comprehensive continuing professional development program for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals that aims to enhance knowledge, skills and confidence in treating children and adolescents.
It offers an excellent overview of evidence-based current best practice in paediatrics covering more than 30 sub-specialities from neonates to adolescents as a part-time program of study presented by over 90 renowned clinicians of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and the University of Sydney.
The Sydney Child Health Program is endorsed by the University of Sydney and has historically counted as one unit of credit towards the Master of Medicine (paediatrics). It is also accredited by the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM), Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners(RACGP) as quality medical education. ACEM members receive 120 CPD hours, ACRRM members are awarded 30 points and RACGP members are awarded 80 category 1 points upon successful completion of the program.
Register and gain access to program materials immediately all year round, with final written exams held in June and December across over 50 sites in Australia.
GP registrars receive a 15% fee discount on the program (upon providing supporting evidence from a GP training provider).
