Five Dock Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre is conveniently located inside Five Dock Medical Centre in the heart of Five Dock (see map) and the Inner West. The location of our clinic enables our physiotherapists to have constant interaction with local GPs and surgeons, nearby X-ray and radiology facilities, and other allied health professionals such as podiatrists and nutritionists. This close knit medical setting allows us to provide an integrated multi-disciplinary approach to health management and the highest standard of care to each patient.

The clinic was established in the early 1990s, initially located next door, before conveniently relocating into the Five Dock Medical Centre in 2006. Although Matthew Wehbe had been working for the clinic for many years, it wasn’t until 2007 that he assumed sole ownership of the practice. Five Dock Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre has since grown significantly. We now have three full time physiotherapists and one part-time physio helping our patients to achieve their goals.

Our staff pride themselves on being members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia and Sports Physiotherapy Australia and our physios are graduates of the highly regarded Sydney University and Australian Catholic University.

As a team our physios have a particular interest in not only treating our patients current symptoms, but also in injury prevention and addressing the biomechanical compensations that occur with injury. We firmly believe that if these abnormal compensations are not corrected, another injury is likely to happen either higher up or lower down the kinetic chain, and thus the surrounding musculoskeletal structures will be adversely affected and a recurrent or chronic condition is likely to develop.

Five Dock Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre has been affiliated with various sporting clubs and teams over the years providing on-field coverage and treatment for both male and female competitors, but we certainly do not only deal with sports people. We thus treat a range of Injury Areas both with the sporting population and the general public.
