Westcare Family Medical Centre is seeking a VR General Practitioner to join its established team on a full-time or part-time basis.

Westcare has been providing healthcare to the Melton community since 1989 and has built strong local connections and an established patient base. The practice is fully accredited and supported by experienced GPs, nurses, reception and practice management teams.

With continued patient demand, this is an opportunity for a GP looking to build a rewarding long-term practice while enjoying clinical autonomy and strong team support.

Westcare currently operates as a mixed billing practice and is open to discussing different approaches to billing and patient access with an incoming GP, including opportunities for a GP with an interest in bulk billing to shape their own patient offering.

This could suit a GP who is passionate about accessible healthcare and continuity of care, and who would value the opportunity to contribute to the future direction of a growing community practice.

You’ll work alongside an experienced team of GPs and nurses, with strong administrative and practice management support allowing you to focus on patient care.

Westcare is also an established GP Registrar training practice, providing opportunities for teaching, professional development and clinical collaboration.

The current GP team has clinical interests across areas including women’s health, children’s health, mental health and family medicine, providing a broad clinical environment and opportunities for collaboration.

Westcare Family Medical Centre provides comprehensive General Practice care to the local Melton West community.

The practice is supported by experienced nurses and reception staff, with a Practice Manager and central Better Medical support across areas including IT, marketing, HR and operations.

The practice is currently open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, providing a consistent working environment with flexibility to develop a schedule that suits your needs.

Westcare also supports chronic disease management, preventive healthcare, children’s health, women’s health, mental health, immunisations, referrals and a broad range of general medical services.
