The roles are supported by a PHO, Registrar and a multidisciplinary team of nurses. The on-call is 1 in 3.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills extending across the broad range of paediatrics, with an ability to work autonomously. You will be required to conduct outreach clinics and a driving license is essential.
In this role you will gain exposure to indigenous healthcare and experience a varied case-mix unlikely to be encountered in a major city. There is great potential to make a real difference in this health service.
This Level 4 hospital has a total of 80 beds and offers primary, secondary and community health services in addition to specialist services such as anaesthetics, paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology. There is a 10 bed dedicated paediatric ward, and a 3 bed nursery. The paediatric ward is currently undergoing renovation which is due to be completed in early 2016.
