This fully accredited, teaching practice utilizes Best Practice Software and effectively, provides mentoring support to final year Deakin Medical Students. As a General Practitioner, you will be joining a total team of 3 GP’s, 2 specialist GP’s and 1 practice nurse working 2 days per week. Staff facilities include 2 consulting rooms, 1 treatment rooms, and a Pharmacy.
There are no special procedural requirements but there are opportunities for Anaesthetics or Obstetrics via the relationship with Colac Area health 20 minutes up the road if desired.
A variety of specialist Allied Health Staff are accessible for issues with diabetics, women’s and children’s health, psychologist, antenatal, podiatrist etc. The community and clinic relationship is further enhanced by providing access to an onsite gym, community groups, and yoga and meditation classes at the clinic.
Opening hours are Monday– Friday 9 am – 5 pm and no work on weekends. After hours on call, commitment is limited to 1 in 8 weekends or less and no weekday on call.

Located at the foothills of the Otway Ranges ‘Birre’ is a little more than 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne, only 30 minutes from Lorne and the Great Ocean Road, under an hour to Apollo Bay, and just about an hour and a half to Port Campbell or the Twelve Apostles.
Birregurra buzzes with famous events such as the Weekend Festival and Art Show, a two-day event selling local produce, gourmet food and wine and the main stage features a lineup of top entertainment.
