Working in a full time capacity (at least 4 days as week), you will join a busy clinic which is part of a larger corporate organisation that operates nineteen clinics throughout Melbourne and the Gippsland region.
In this bulk billing clinic, you will be committed to providing a high level of clinical care to a large patient base. After-hours participation is required and is conducted through Cowes Medical Centre which is co-located.
A detailed orientation and induction to the clinic will assist you to transition seamlessly into a well-supported team environment. Access to study groups and in-house education will provide support for your achievement of Specialist qualifications.
AHPRA Registration – able to support level 2 and above supervision

Full-Time Clinical Nursing and CDM support
This practice has been servicing the medical needs of the Phillip Island community since 2012. A GPA accredited teaching practice, using Medical Director, houses consulting rooms and fully functioning treatment rooms. Support is provided by six GPs, highly experienced practice nurses, a credentialed mental health nurse, friendly administration staff and a practice manager.
Located in a popular tourist destination, there is a seasonal influx of tourists which bring diversity and a wide scope of medical treatments. Predominantly, outside of the tourist seasons, patient health issues that impact the practice are typical for a rural general practice and include aged care; chronic disease and mental health.
Onsite services include pathology, pharmacy, radiology, dentistry, psychology and cardiology. Working with the co-located clinic, you will have access to visiting services include audiology, dietetics, endocrinology, ophthalmology and occupational therapy. Other allied health and visiting specialist services are available.
Practice hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Cowes is the largest town on Phillip Island and has a permanent population of over 12,000 that increases to approximately 100,000 during the holiday periods and the MotoGP Grand Prix. Cowes caters well for the holiday crowds with a selection of restaurants, cafes, gift shops, hotels and two supermarkets. The attractive foreshore of shaded lawn complete with BBQ areas, shelters and pathways slopes down to the clean golden sands of the beach and clear inviting water. The T-shaped jetty is popular with fisherman and is the departure point for several ferries and tourist boat cruises.
