Available public and private schools offer diversity and the University of Sunshine Coast campus is located in Hervey Bay. The Hervey Bay climate is very mild, with inviting calm waters for swimming and beach activities.
This amazing opportunity exists with World Heritage Listed Fraser Island, Whale Watching and Whale Festival, Maryborough Heritage Streetscapes, Riverside Parks and Mary Poppins Festival as a back drop.
Situated on the Fraser Coast in sunny Queensland, with two clinics (Hervey Bay and Maryborough). Originally established in 2007 we offer a comprehensive suite of Primary Health Care Services within the Fraser Coast region. The Hervey Bay clinic is situated at the beachside, while a newly built practice in the heart of Historical Maryborough offers exceptional facilities with 10 consulting rooms including a mums and bubs room, new equipment and large reception.
You will be joining the current team of two Doctors, and will be required to work at both clinics. Our Model of Care offers an experienced range of clinical and non-clinical staff. Registered Nurses, Midwife, Diabetic Educator, Dietician, Podiatry, Aboriginal Health Worker / Practitioners, Community Liaison officers, Transport Officers and Medical Receptionists have an experienced and varied skill set e.g. (RIPERN, Immunisation Providers, Pap Smear Providers, Suture and Wound Closure, Midwifery Practitioner and Chronic Disease team, Men's Health, Women's Health, Health Checks, Mums and Bubs and Cultural Mentorship).
Regular visiting specialists include Psychologist, Psychiatrist, ENT, Paediatrician and Allied Health including Audiologist, Eye Van, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.
The practice is Community Controlled and has a well-established clientele and reports indicate continued growth. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 0830 to 1700. Health Outreach Clinics occur frequently and home visits are also occasionally required.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a General Practitioner. Ideal applicants will be compassionate, engaging, visionary and thorough with a dedication towards improving the provision of healthcare and the wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. An ability to work within an interdisciplinary team exhibiting admirable communication skills is also required.

* Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Unrestricted Registration
* Eligibility for an unrestricted Medicare Care Provider Number
* Fellowship of RACGP
* Accreditation as a GP Supervisor or eligible for same
* Chronic Disease Management
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
