This friendly Aboriginal community controlled organisation is seeking interest from an experienced, vocationally or general registered general practitioner to service the community of Lochsport and Stratford.

The position entails outreach to Lochsport 1-2 days and with the opportunity to service weekly to the outreach clinic in Stratford, or extra sessional time at the Ramahyuck Gippsland Family Practice, Sale.  Essentially up to 2 days at Lochsport and 1 day at Stratford at your Outreach visit to Lochsport, you will also be supported by a Ramahyuck Practice Nurse.

Essential Criteria:

  • AHPRA registration – General  or Specialist
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in areas consistent with General Practice (desirable)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the use of practice software
  • Interest in Aboriginal Health is essential

The package:

  • Salaried position   $110- $120 dependant on qualifications and experience.
  • Salary Sacrificing: Up to $15,899 per annum is available, prior to tax, along with other pre-tax packaging as fits RDAC’s PBI status.

Practice Details:

This Aboriginal Community Controlled Helath Organisation  established in 1992 has expanded over the last 25 years and aims to provide culturally appropriate and comprehensive primary health care services to residents within the Wellington, La Trobe and Baw Baw Shires of the Gippsland Region in Victoria.

Other clinics located in Sale, Drouin, Morwell,Rosedale Lochsport and Stratford are fully computerized with Pracsoft and Medical Director and AGPAL accredited. Mentoring support is also available to registras.

Lochsport & Stratford opportunities will be solo GP posts you will be supported by a practice nurse. At Ramahyuck clinic, doctors and practice nurses are available for support and you will also have access to a number of in-house facilities. There is access to telehealth, audiology, pathology, physiotherapy, dentistry, optometry, ENT, HACC and social and emotional wellbeing services. The health issues that predominantly impact the clinic are cardiac, COPD, diabetes and other chronic diseases.

Currently operating Monday to Friday 9:00am – 8:00pm, there are plans to extend hours to 10:00pm

Loch Sport is a coastal tourist town situated on the Ninety Mile Beach and Lake Victoria in Central Gippsland, eastern Victoria, Australia.
