Seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology GP to add value to the Maryborough district community.
You will be working closely with the general practices in the town whilst providing O&G VMO to the hospital.
Conditions of service regarding sessions, consulting hours, annual leave are all negotiable
After-hours and weekend cover is rostered and shared with a neighbouring practice
AHPRA registration- General or Specialists registration
Procedural skills or interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (upskilling grants available)
In final stages of fellowship or looking to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology may also be considered
70 % of billing

The two general practices located in Maryborough has strong connections with each other and the Maryborough District hospital providing VMO services to the region.
Practice 1: is an AGPAL accredited, computerised (Best Practice and Mediflex) currently servicing 5 senior doctors with 2 procedural nurses and 1 assessment nurse. Treatment rooms are utilised for Minor excision, biopsies, wound reviews, dressings, INR reviews, ECG’s, spirometry, various injections and GP management plans to name a few. Specialist services included are visiting urologist, cardiologist, psychologist, podiatrist, oncologist and physiotherapists. Open hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.50pm, Saturday as per roster 9:00am to 12:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 11:00am.
Practice 2: is an AGPAL accredited, computerised (Best Practice and Mediflex), currently has 4 senior doctors & 2 registrars and are supported by 3 procedural nurses and 1 assessment nurse. Treatment rooms are utilised for Minor excision, biospies, wound reviews, dressings, INR reviews, ECG’s, spirometry, various injections and GP management plans/Health assessments to name a few. Specialist services included are visiting surgeon, psychologist, 2 podiatrists, renal physician, dietician and diabetic educator, and an endocrinologist.Open hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday as per roster 9:00am to 12:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 11:00am.
Situated close to the local shopping centre and hospital with easy access to the local pharmacies all services are accessible for both doctor and patients.
Maryborough (population 9,000) is situated between the two large regional cities of Ballarat and Bendigo, both about 70km away, in the heart of the Victorian Goldfields. There are a number of pre-schools, primary schools and secondary schools in Maryborough with many additional choices available in the regional cities of Ballarat and Bendigo.
