Joining this busy practice, you will take over an established patient base from a doctor who is retiring. With the flexibility to share in a 7 day roster, you are going to complete 10 sessions per week, 2 of which will be after hours. Located in a beautiful beach side area, the reputable clinic aims to provide patient-centred care for the local community and tourists.
Receiving a comprehensive orientation and induction into the practice and the community, you and your family will be well supported to settle into the area.

In return for your hard work and dedication in supporting the local community, you will be engaged as an independent contractor and receive:
Negotiable % of billings depending on experience

You will start in this AGPAL accredited practice with 5 GPs and be supported by 2 experienced practice nurses, a practice coordinator and a professional administration team. On-site pathology is available from Monday to Saturday and there is a pharmacy next door. To assist you in understanding the health needs of the practice and the community, mentoring is available from an experienced general practitioner.
Utilising Best Practice, the computerised practice opens 7 days a week and consulting hours are Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, Friday: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The practice is located in the local shopping centre with 4 consulting rooms, a care plan room and a treatment room where minor procedures are provided. As Ocean Grove is a popular holiday destination, beach and sun-related issues are seen in the practice regularly. Other major health issues include women’s and children’s health, aged care and mental health. Services provided in clinic include all aspects of family medicine as well as skin checks, preventative health checks, chronic disease management, TAC/work related injuries. Hospital in Geelong is only 15 minutes away from the practice where specialists and allied health services can be accessed.
The bustling commercial and holiday centre of Ocean Grove is situated on the southern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula, separated from its twin coastal town of Barwon Headsby the Barwon River. The largest town apart from Geelong on the Bellarine Peninsula, Ocean Grove offers a wide selection of shopping facilities including major supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and specialty shops. It is a popular holiday and tourist destination for Melbourne families and day trippers attracted by the idyllic location, excellent beaches and outdoor recreational opportunities.
Coastal attractions include the surf beaches which front Bass Strait and several walking tracks that offer good views along the beach. The sandy shoreline near the mouth of the Barwon River, offers safe and sheltered swimming. Much of Ocean Grove is spread over the undulating hills and valleys that characterise this section of the Bellarine Peninsula, giving good views down to the ocean and of the surroundings.
