Position Description:

Role:
You will commence working in a modern, well-equipped practice which brings the latest in innovative health care along with good, old-fashioned friendly service. This flexible practice offers either full time or part time capacity within a collegiate environment in a mixed billing clinic. Your clear communication skills along with a friendly, empathetic and caring approach to your patients will see you thrive in this role! You will not be responsible for any VMO, after-hours or on-call participation. Working the weekend roster is at your discretion and may be suitable if you are seeking to increase your income.

Essential Criteria:
Very good communication skills
• AHRPA Registration
• Australian general practice or hospital experience desirable

Package:
• 60-40%, first month guaranteed salary

Practice Details:

This accredited and mixed billing practice houses six consulting rooms and a very large, well-equipped treatment room. This clinic also benefits from four nurses with emergency procedural skills and a hospital which is also located directly opposite the clinic, an added advantage for a growing patient base.

Located in the heart of Ballarat, you will be supported by GPs, experienced nursing staff and a practice manager. A long standing relationship exists with the hospital to attend to emergency department overflow patients.

With a focus on family medicine, the clinic treats a mix of all patient demographics with a strong representation of mental health and chronic disease which is endemic in the community.

Open hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 10.00pm and Saturday 12.00am – 7.00pm. You may be required to work 10 sessions a week.

Ballarat is Victoria’s largest inland city and is a thriving area for education and sport. With a fascinating heritage backdrop, you can explore the city’s gold rush days through architecture, monuments and other tourist attractions. Ballarat is known by locals as being one hour from everything – one hour to the beach, one hour to the mountains, one hour to the snow, one hour to Melbourne.
