A full-time opportunity with flexible work arrangements will enable you the work / life balance you seek in general practice.  You will provide optimum health for the community through a supportive environment. This includes 11 GPs, general manager, clinical manager, nine practice nurses, allied health practitioners and visiting specialists.

With long-term business options available, you will either hold fellowship or be on a pathway to achieve fellowship.

Participation in after-hours / on-call is required with the roster being equally shared among all GP’s in clinic. VMO rights are required.

The Package

  • On-call retainer + higher % of billings for on-call participation

  • Additional incentives available including SIP, ACIR, Teaching incentive, etc.

  • Ability to negotiate guaranteed income period

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registration – general or specialist

  • Expectation to work across 2 sites including Daylesford and Trentham

  • Australian general practice or hospital experience

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Desire and ability to live and work rurally

Practice Details:

Treating a range of medical problems, the clinic’s special interests include counselling and mental health, pre and post-natal care, HIV and respiratory disease. As this is an ageing population, there is a strong emphasis on chronic disease management and aged care.

An accredited teaching practice, the clinic provides educational support to GP Registrars and Deakin University students from five accredited trainers. Educational pathways are also available for nursing and pharmacy students.

The practice hours are from 8:30am to 8pm on Monday and Tuesday, 8:30am-6pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday,  9am -12pm on Saturday and 9am to 12pm at Daylesford Hospital.
