Budja Budja is the traditional Aboriginal name for Halls Gap. The Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-operative was established in 1999 with the aim of delivering a range of cultural, medical, health and well-being services to both the local Indigenous and non-Indigenous community. This is a solo practice with one consulting room, one treatment room and support from Aboriginal healthcare workers and two nurses who assist with health assessments, children checks, referrals and recalls as well as health promotion activities and chronic care programs.
The clinic provides men’s, women’s, youth group services and also offers outreach allied health services, educational, health and well-being programs, work related training, advocacy services, justice programs and short-term/emergency housing.
The practice has no VMO rights and procedural skills are not necessary. No on-call or after-hours work is required.
