Position Description:

  • Non-DWS

  • RRMA4 – Eligible for A1 Medicare rebate

  • Monday to Friday work only

  • No VMO, after-hours or on-call

  • Strong patient base

You will step in to a strong, existing patient base working in a part-time capacity. There are no after-hours or on-call commitments and you are not required to hold VMO rights.  Ideally you will begin with six sessions/week and, should you choose, gradually build up.

Your sense of humour, warm bedside manner and friendly approach to your patients will help you settle in quickly to this friendly and open work environment.  You will have an open mind to all patient demographics and be willing to treat those in the community who have high dependency issues. There is a solid induction program in place, in accordance with GPA accreditation, to assist with a smooth transition into practice.

Existing and solid referral pathways are available to the nearest hospital, located 20-minutes away, to assist you in the provision of an holistic approach to your patients’ needs and the needs of the community.

The Package

Working as an independent contractor your package will include:

  • 65% of bulk billings

  • First month incentive

Practice Details:

You will join a well-established clinic that is committed to providing the highest quality general practice care to all members of the local community for nine years.  With a strong patient base, built over the years, this GPA accredited teaching practice currently uses Medical Director for patient records.  In clinic, you will work with three GPs and be supported in practice by administration staff, a practice manager and three practice nurses  to assist with immunisations, pap smears, ECGs, wound care, management plans, spirometry etc.

The clinic provides a general family medicine approach to healthcare to include whole of life primary care. There is a pharmacy on-site and the clinic assist with the provision of after-hours through the Moe After-Hours Medical Service.  After-hours are at the discretion of the individual doctor.
