You will commence working in a well-established clinic which currently holds a patient list of roughly 3,000 and is constantly accepting new patients. Replacing a doctor who is leaving, you will begin working in a full-time capacity providing a high level of medical care to the community.  The clinic has built an enviable reputation by placing the needs of the community and the patient before anything else. Working in a small team of 2 doctors, you will receive excellent administrative and medical support from highly experienced administration staff, a practice manager, practice nurses and the incumbent GPs. To assist you to settle into the clinic and the community you will be provided with a 2-week orientation and induction program that introduces you to the software system, referrals process and resources available.

Essential Criteria:

  • AHPRA Registration – General or Specialist GP

  • Australian Hospital or Australian General Practice experience

  • A & E skills |Women’s Health

  • Level 3 or Level 4 supervision requirements may be considered

The Package:

  • 60 – 65% of billings

  • SIP payments

Practice Details:

This accredited, computerised practice provides comprehensive primary medical care to all age groups with a high proportion of aged care, chronic illness, mental health and complex case presentations. Being a popular holiday destination spot the patient numbers fluctuate throughout year, particularly around Easter and Christmas.

All records are fully computerised using Medical Director and Pracsoft and are accessible in an organised format to allow another practitioner to maintain patient care continuity.

Three doctors are supported by a practice manager, a practice nurse and experienced administration team. The nurses are available to provide assistance with the treatment of patients and preparation of care management plans.

The practice consists of three consulting rooms including a treatment room to perform ECGs, wound management, phlebotomy, vaccinations, immunizations, spirometry, INRs etc. Attached to the practice is an aged care facility consisting of 30 beds including high-care beds for overnight stays, and is currently managed by the practice principal.

Other services include a mental health nurse, diabetes counselling, eye specialists, with further services available in Shepparton through the clinic’s referral network.

Professional development opportunities are available through the current Medicare Local who proactively facilitates several QI and CPD courses. Being close to Shepparton, access to educational forums and study groups are readily available to assist in your progression to fellowship.
