The Practice

Commence working in a full-time capacity and build your patient base by attending to existing patients to fill a workforce shortage.  Supported by highly experienced GPs, practice nurses and administration team, you will join the only clinic in Paynesville.

This is an attractive opportunity because there is no weekend work and shared after-hours and nursing home on-call participation.

In-house professional development, based on current medical trends and topical subjects are delivered by the Practice Principals.

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registration – General or Specialist GP

  • Australian health system experience (hospital or general practice)

  • Accident and emergency skills

  • 60% of mixed billings

Practice Details:

An AGPAL, accredited teaching clinic that provides ongoing education to GP Registrars and Students is the only clinic in Paynesville.  Located in a popular fishing and boating seaside location, a broad scope of treatments within general practice and general medicine are attended to with a predominance towards aged care and chronic disease management.

Trusted referral pathways exist to local clinicians and to Bairnsdale Regional Health with a patient retrieval service existing in Paynesville.  Trusted referral pathways to visiting specialists from Bairnsdale are accommodated by the clinic as required.  Access to specialists through Skype technology is also available for patient treatments.

A personally tailored induction will be delivered to seamlessly transition you into the clinic with additional social support provided to assist with community inclusion.
