Physiotherapist – Ararat

Position Description:

Ararat Physiotherapy & Health Service (APHS) are seeking an enthusiastic registered physiotherapist (experienced or newly graduated) to join their large team of allied health professionals.
If successful, you will be exposed to a varied caseload of private patients inclusive of: work cover, TAC, NDIS – Musculoskeletal and a smaller caseload of neuro and cardio. Ararat is considered a rural and higher percentage of low socio-economic residents with a demand for growth within the service. APHS are the only private practice within a one hour radius highlight the need for growth within the service and reason for vacancy.

Your package:

  • Full time capacity – will consider part time hours for the right candidate

  • Grade 1-2 classification of qualified physiotherapist professionals considered

  • Supervision/mentorship program available

  • Above award rates offered + opportunity for incentives package to all allied health professionals

  • Annual $1000 CPD allowance + regular in-services professional development opportunities

  • Relocation support (subject to selection criteria)

Your team will comprise of:

  • Physiotherapists: 3.5 EFT

  • Exercise Physiologist: 0.4EFT

  • Reception/Support Staff: 1.6EFT

  • Naturopath: 0.5 EFT

Within the building additionally:

  • Occupational Therapist: 1 EFT

  • Psychologist: 2EFT

  • Dental Technician: 0.2EFT

  • Podiatrist: 0.2 EFT

Key requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification)

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Evidence of post-graduation professional development if completed

  • Hold membership/compliant with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)

Practice Details:

Ararat Physiotherapy & Health Service (APHS) offer individual appointments, small and larger group classes of pilates. yoga and specific exercises for target groups and aquatic therapy. The clinic is well equipped with large, modern individual treatment rooms, apple computers with all notes and bookings online. There is real time ultrasound. EMG biofeedback. fully equipped pilates and rehabilitation studio, staff facilities. APHS were proudly awarded the winners of the Healthy Workplace Award for the Western District of Victoria Business Awards.

You will provide services to a varied age demographic from children through to the aged, with a large percentage of patients between the ages of 20-65 years old. The clients are typically a range of acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions. The higher portion of patients will present with acute injuries. With the onset of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) there has been an increase in complex cases that are allocated to more senior staff.
