WHAT'S THIS JOB ALL ABOUT? Working 1 day per week initially on an ongoing casual basis, you'll be part of a collaborative, trans-disciplinary family-centred early intervention team within a not-for-profit organisation. You'll use a strength-based, person-centred approach to help a mixed adult and paediatric client base, including young people with disability, and their family and/or carers. You'll identify their strengths and needs, and will design a program of support, enabling improvements to their quality of life and participation in the community. You'll provide a range of specialist services to people with disability:
Services are provided within the person's environment (e.g. home, school, community);
Intervention will focus on the strengths of clients in their natural environments;
You'll involve your stakeholders in all aspects of service delivery including the planning and decision making process, ongoing communication and review;
Development and delivery of intervention programs to facilitate a family-centred approach.
You'll benefit from an excellent trans-disciplinary support structure and ongoing professional development activities to ensure intervention through evidence-based best practice principles.
AM I THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB?
AHPRA registered Psychologist
Experience in providing Psychological services to adults, children and young people, with adisability and a range of needs
Strong communication, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Current Driver's Licence and a willingness to drive
Current Working With Children clearance
- One day per week ongoing, with an NDIS client group inc adults and children.
- Variety of adult, paediatric and youth clients with disability.
The salary banding for this role is $40 -$55Location
