Working as the Specialist Ophthalmologist you will join a regional medical practice in providing accessible, high quality, comprehensive eye care to residents within the town. You will be joining a collegiate team of professionals and be treating a variety of eye conditions; strong experience and interest in retina will be highly regarded.
This regional hospital provides quality eye care services between Sydney and Melbourne. The medical practice prides itself on looking after its residents for over 60 years.
The town is home to around 94,000 people. By road it is 3 hours from Melbourne and Canberra and 6 hours from Sydney. It is situated within one of Australia’s fastest growing economic regions, which provides you and your family with job security.
There are excellent schooling options for your children with a number of private and public primary and secondary schools to TAFE and Universities to choose from.
There is an abundance of regional wineries to and the Victorian snowfields are within an hour’s drive giving you plenty of things to do in your time off.
To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FRANZCO or be close to obtaining fellowship and have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Doctors who have been through the specialist assessment process with the college will also be considered.
Unless you are a native English speaker you must also meet the English language proficiency requirements.
