Casual Practice Nurse - RN

Position Purpose
Deliver quality nursing care in general practice while maintaining confidentiality and supporting team operations.

Key Duties

• Liaise with health services and external providers
• Maintain clinical standards (infection control, safety, records, stock, accreditation)
• Conduct health assessments, care plans, and manage recalls/immunisations
• Provide patient education and support chronic disease management
• Perform clinical tasks (triage, wound care, procedures, testing, immunisations)
• Assist with administration, stock ordering, and practice cleanliness

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and PII
• Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Medication administration endorsement

Certifications

• Driver’s licence
• First Aid/CPR
• Relevant registrations and memberships

Professional Development

• Ongoing training supported; participation may require approval
• CPD evidence may be requested to meet AHPRA standards
