Hunter New England Health have an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Lake Macquarie Community Mental Health Service (LMMHS) based at Charlestown. The Lake Macquarie Mental Health Service is located in a modern purpose built building with easy access to parking and in close proximity to major shopping precincts. Nearby is quick direct access to the Newcastle city bypass and Pacific Highway.
The LMMHS is a well-established Community Mental Health Team offering support and rehabilitation to mental health patients and their families within an experienced, supportive multidisciplinary team. The team is staffed with a range of experienced nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitian and psychiatrists, and is a well-established team which has a reputation within HNEMH as a nurturing and teaching environment.
What you'll be doing
Provide high quality, patient-consumer-focused, evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment to improve outcomes of patients and/or consumers and their families/carers, with the provision of supervision, consultation and clinical leadership.
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
