Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Due to our team expanding, an opportunity exists for an experienced Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team of professionals in our modern well-established busy southern suburbs practice.

The person we are looking for must display a high level of professionalism in dealing with patients and staff and have a kind and compassionate nature.

They will be friendly, possess a sense of humour, have strong communication skills and ready to be part of an amazing close-knit team who all love to have fun!

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Providing all aspects of chair-side dental assistance to our Dentists
• Delivering exceptional dental care and excellent customer service
• Instrument re-processing and sterilisation procedures
• Reception duties including answering telephone calls, fielding enquiries, making bookings and account processing
• Supporting the 4 Dentists and 3 Hygienists in all aspects of dentistry

The successful applicant should:

• Have a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or relevant dental experience)
• Possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• Have a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• Show initiative and be able to multi-task and prioritise
• Be well presented, reliable and punctual
• Have an excellent phone manner and always be polite and courteous
• Have DCSI and Police clearance
• Have experience with OASIS dental software (preferred but not essential)
• Be prepared to enjoy a supportive family environment where social functions, celebrations and fun are all part of the job

This position is for a 3 day week commencing 13/01/2025.

No weekend work is required but flexibility to relieve for holiday and sick leave is an advantage.

Renumeration is dependent upon experience at above award rates.
