About Us
Reasons to Smile Dental Care is a well-loved, trusted institution in the heart of Canberra — and we mean that literally. Proudly dentist-owned for every one of our 50 years, we've built a reputation for exceptional care and genuine relationships with our patients. Our loyal base spans generations, from baby boomers right down to the little ones just getting started.
You'll be joining a warm, experienced team of 2 dentists, a dental hygienist, skilled dental assistants, and a great admin crew who work together to make every appointment run like clockwork — all within our modern, welcoming 2-chair practice.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced dentist to join us 4 days a week. This is a role with real autonomy — you'll have full ownership of your patient base and the freedom to provide comprehensive general dental care, plus the opportunity to explore other areas of dentistry that interest you.
And if you love the latest technology, you'll feel right at home. Our practice is equipped with a state-of-the-art CEREC 3D scanner, milling machine and furnace, Diode Laser, redband handpieces and rotary endodontics, so you have everything you need to deliver outstanding results.
Remuneration is structured as a percentage of fees collected, rewarding you directly for the quality care you provide.

Smack in the middle of Canberra City, you'll be surrounded by everything the capital has to offer — inner-city apartments, buzzing offices, great restaurants, shopping, and cultural events right on your doorstep. Not a bad spot to spend your working week!
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced dentist who takes pride in their craft and genuinely loves connecting with patients. You bring:
- A warm, professional chairside manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A real commitment to patient care and service
AHPRA registration (or eligibility) is required.
