Rural Care Australia (RCA) is a community-owned, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering intergenerational services across the township of Merbein, Victoria. We operate Chaffey Aged Care, a 100-bed residential aged care facility, and Generations Early Learning, a 72-place early years service which is one of Australia’s first shared site Intergenerational Early Learning services.

πOverseeing the health of residents across a 24/7 roster under the direction of the Clinical Care Coordinator and Clinical Operations Manager
πDelivering thorough assessments, ensuring exceptional reporting, and contributing to comprehensive care plan evaluations for residents
π΅π΄Enhancing resident wellbeing by delivering personalised care that aligns with care plans and individual needs
πBringing care to life by administering scheduled medications—topical, enteral, and injections (if qualified)
πBeing the go-to trusted liaison for residents, their families, and representatives in regards to resident care, satisfaction and wellbeing
π Collaborating with RN’s, PCA’s and CSA’s in the delivery of care, hygiene, mobility, meal management and dementia support to residents in line with our vision, mission and values
πFollowing legislative, industry and organisational standards as it relates to quality, resident outcomes, care minutes, infection control, occupational health and safety and storage & administering of medications
πAbove all, bringing a cheerful attitude and compassionate approach to every interaction with residents.
Work across a rotating roster with the following shifts available:

Morning – 07:00am – 15:00pm
πAfternoon – 14:00pm – 22:00pm
πEvening – 21:30pm – 07:30am
About You
As our next Enrolled Nurse, you are excited to bring exceptional skills, knowledge and experience to our team, including:
βοΈa solid understanding of best practice, evidence-based care, and consumer-directed care, ideally within an aged-care environment
βοΈProven people and communication skills including relationship building, cooperation, and conflict de-escalation & resolution
βοΈDiligent record keeping skills, coupled with confidence in utilising aged-care specific software applications such as MANAD and MedSig (or similar)
βοΈDemonstrated knowledge and confidence when adhering to medication storage and delivery practices
βοΈResponsive, reliable and dependable in nature
βοΈCommitted to delivering compliant and compassionate care to residents at all times
βοΈDemonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Act, mandatory reporting obligations, the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, and the Aged Care Funding Instrument is highly regarded.
