Experienced Medical Receptionist

About Us

We are a privately owned general practice, seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who loves working as part of a successful team.

Our practice is a purpose built beautifully appointed private billing clinic in the Bentleigh East area. 

The Role

You will be the warm and welcoming first face to greet patients and visitors, whilst supporting our medical and nursing team to continue to deliver exceptional care to our patients. You will work closely with the Practice Manager and owners, and will have the support of a broader group of medical professionals. All duties to be carried out professionally and in line with practice policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will undertake general administration tasks including but not limited to greeting patients, managing incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments, attending to patient enquiries, managing patient accounts, updating patient information, scanning and allocating, assisting with day to day activities, advising the team member that manages the ordering when stock is running low and participate in staff meetings and liaise with the practice owners.  

The Hours

The practice currently operates Monday to Saturday.  The hours for this role will be varied and may consist of some Saturdays. 

Skills and Experience

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist in a GP practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using Best Practice or similar Patient Management System
• Demonstrate a patient-focused approach
• Clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to manage day to day tasks and work well under pressure
