Community Senior Occupational Therapist

• Location: Toowoomba, QLD (Hybrid / Mobile)

• Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Super (commensurate with experience)

• Employment Type: Full-Time (Flexible working hours; 9-day fortnight available if preferred!)

• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

This role offers a fantastic hybrid balance of working from home and visiting clients in their natural environments (homes, schools, kindergartens, and the community). You will be serving a diverse caseload of NDIS and Support at Home clients of all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality, client-centered therapy sessions in home, school, and community environments.

• Completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), Assistive Technology (AT) recommendations, home modifications, and reporting.

• Managing a realistic billable target of 25–30 hours per week (dependent on candidate experience and caseload complexity).

• Potential to engage in specialized medicolegal work.

• Nurturing and supporting more junior clinicians on the team as a clinical mentor (highly encouraged career path).

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Ideally 2–3+ years of clinical experience as an OT. While more years of experience are preferred, clinical competence, confidence in the field, and a strong background in community work are the absolute key factors.

• Sector Knowledge: Prior experience working with the NDIS is essential (experience with Aged Care/Support at Home is also highly regarded).

• Leadership Drive: A desire to step into a leadership, supervisory, or mentorship role as part of your long-term career progression.

• Registrations: Full AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance.

• Logistics: Current driver’s license, a reliable vehicle (until a company vehicle pathway is established), and a current Police Check/NDIS Worker Screening Check.

• Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is available only for candidates who already have established local experience working within the Australian NDIS system.
