Job title: Full Time /Part Time Occupational Therapist wanted in Sydney, NSW for community work.

 

Hours:  40 Hours a week (Flexible for Part Time)

 

Salary:  $65K to $90K (Depending on Experience)

 

Location: Sydney, NSW

 

About the Role:

 

  • You will have to focus on delivering high quality occupational therapy services to a diverse range of client's living with disabilities.
  • You will see clients aged between 7 years - 99 years of age. 
  • You will deliver evidence based occupational therapy interventions under the NDIS system. 
  • As a community based Occupational Therapist, you will be driving and conducting face to face services in the client's home.
  • You will be providing OT to a variety of people living with disabilities, including Intellectual Disabilities, Neurological Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and individuals living with Sensory Processing Disorder.
  • You will be prescribing equipment, minor/major home modifications, conducting sensory interventions, liaising with schools and other therapists, conducting cognitive assessments, educating families/carers/teachers/support workers and writing a variety of reports. 
  • This role is an autonomous role where you will be assisting individuals in building independence and encouraging clients to build capacity in their chosen activities of daily living. 
  • You will have to be driving up to an hour in one direction from the office. Locations include (and are not limited to) Miranda, East Gardens, Southern Highlands, Bankstown, Penrith area, Hunter's Hill, Guildford, Kingsgrove, as well as local client's in Campbelltown, Liverpool. You may be required to use your personal car and the company loan pool car when directed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. 
  • Full registration with AHPRA
  • Current National Police Clearance and WWCC
  • Valid Drivers Licence and access to reliable transport 
  • Ability to independently manage scheduling of clients e.g. appointments, follow up visits.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal information in a sensitive manner.
  • New graduates are welcome 
  • Must be willinging to engage in workplace culture.
