General Practitioner - Malanda

Practice Information:
This practice is an accredited, owner-operated clinic located in the spectacular Atherton Tablelands, an hour and a half drive from Cairns. They are a vibrant, friendly clinic offering mixed billing and servicing a broad demographic. They provide a number of clinical services including, but not limited to, woman's health, excisions and skin care, chronic disease management, ATSI health, mental health, and aged care. The practice is open Monday-Friday with a rotational Saturday morning roster.

About Malanda,
Malanda is a small farming community located on the scenic Atherton Tablelands, an hour an a half drive from Cairns. The predominant industry in Malanda is dairy and beef farming with many multi-generational farming families still living and working in the area. Recent times have seen a shift in demographics with many younger families moving to the area. The local primary and high school are highly regarded and currently catchment schools. There is also an aged care facility located in Malanda and this practice provides weekly visits to patients who are residents at the facility.
 

Position Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a General Practitioner to join this team, ideally on a full-time basis but flexibility in hours is an option for the right applicant. This is a contracted position with weekly percentage calculations of total billings.

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful applicant must have, or be able to provide the following:

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
• Current AHPRA registration
• Vocational Registration with either RACGP or ACRRM
• Current medical indemnity insurance
• Details of DWS status
