Moore Park Beach is a town in Queensland, Australia. It is on the Pacific Ocean, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) north of the city of Bundaberg. Moore Park boasts almost 20 kilometres (12 mi) of golden sandy beach. The very northern end of the beach is used for four-wheel driving, the southern end is a popular bathing area with seasonal patrols by the Moore Park Surf Lifesaving Club. The beach is also a nesting site for sea turtles including loggerhead sea turtles in summer months.
Local population is approximately 2,600 residents, predominantly retirees. In recent years, there has been an increase in younger families to the area following the construction of a local primary school, playgrounds and skate park. In winter, an influx of grey nomads increases the population to approximately 3,000 with the majority of travellers staying in the Moore Park Beach Caravan Park and utilising the local Bowls Club, Tavern, IGA complex, Pharmacy and Hardware.
This is an opportunity to start a new business. The previous General Practitioner left due to personal reasons abroad and opted not to re-new the lease (and sell the surgery). Rather, the premises were vacated, leaving an open slate for a new General Practitioner to start-up their surgery however they intend.
This opportunity would suit either a General Practitioner with a young family wanting to move to a quiet, friendly area. The local pharmacist has done that with his wife and two young children. Or, this would suit a semi-retired General Practitioner who would want to work for themselves away from the hustle of the city.
No after hours requirement is needed. The previous surgery opened 8:30 to 4:30 on weekdays (closed on weekends).
