The Organisation

The practice has 10 GPs currently, with 5 Nurses, 8 Administrative team members and Practice Manager. Onsite health services include Pathology, Psychology, Relaxation, Sports & Remedial Massage, Cosmetic Aesthetics and Social Workers, and specialist services in Urology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Audiology and General Surgery.

The Position

• 20th March – ongoing
• Locum GP
• $1400 + GST per day.
• 8.30am – 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.

• 8.00am – 1pm weekends on rotation with other GPs
• Best Practice software
• Clinical Meetings on Tuesdays.
• Accommodation and vehicle provided
• If based inter-state, economy flights.

Whilst providing the full suite of general practice services, this Mixed Billing practice has a special focus on preventative health and mental health. And what a great location! The former Australian Pulp and Paper administrative building is a spacious heritage-listed Art Deco classic with uninterrupted views of the bay across the road. Not only that, but it shares a carpark with Bunnings, which provides excellent exposure and access. With a population of around 20,000 and the administrative hub for Tasmania’s north-west coast, Burnie provides something for everyone. Apart from offering mouth-watering produce and an active arts community, it is within easy reach of magnificent Wilderness World Heritage Area parks and reserves.
