About Full Potential Psychology

Full Potential Psychology is an online psychology clinic specialising in supporting neurodivergent children and their families. We are seeking a final-year student or recent graduate of a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Educational and Developmental Psychology to join our team from January or February 2027. The role is designed for an early-career psychologist who wants a flexible caseload alongside strong supervision from a STAP-approved supervisor, structured training and opportunities to develop in neurodiversity-affirming practice.

We have developed Legend Land, a purpose-built Minecraft therapy world designed to bring play and engagement into the online therapeutic space. Clients and psychologists interact through their characters in a shared virtual environment, providing another way to build engagement and deliver psychological interventions via telehealth. This can help reduce barriers associated with geography, mobility, sensory needs and difficulty attending traditional face-to-face services.

We are looking for someone with strong clinical foundations, curiosity and a genuine interest in working with neurodivergent children and families. Extensive private-practice experience is not expected. We value reflective practice, openness to feedback, flexibility and willingness to learn. Experience playing video games is essential, and experience playing Minecraft on PC is highly regarded.

Further information regarding Full Potential Psychology and Legend Land can be found at our website, Facebook and Instagram pages - visit www.fullpotentialpsychology.com.au for more details.

Remuneration (contractor)

  • $114.24 to $142.80 per client hour, inclusive of superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes eligible cancellation fees.
  • $228.42 per hour for report writing, excluding diagnostic assessments, which are paid under the applicable assessment arrangement.
  • Remuneration advertised is inclusive of superannuation and exclusive of GST, where applicable. Pricing and cancellation policy can be found here: https://fullpotentialpsychology.com.au/pricing/

The Role

The start date is flexible between January and February 2027, depending on completion of study, general registration and candidate availability. Client work can commence once the successful applicant holds general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia through Ahpra and has the required provider arrangements in place.

The successful applicant can work from home and choose their own days. Minimum availability is 2 days per week offering afternoon appointments, with additional days welcome.

The successful candidate will receive access to Full Potential Psychology's online Legend Land training at no cost. The role also includes supportive individual and group supervision and a structured introduction to Full Potential Psychology's clinical systems and telehealth model.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently completing, or recently completed, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Educational and Developmental Psychology, or an equivalent accredited postgraduate qualification in one of these areas, with expected completion in late 2026 where applicable.
  • Eligible to obtain general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia through Ahpra before commencing client work.
  • Experience and enjoyment of video games, particularly computer games, is essential. Experience playing Minecraft on PC is highly regarded.
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Medicare provider number following registration.
  • Strong theoretical foundations in neurodevelopmental conditions and common psychological presentations.
  • Genuine interest in supporting neurodivergent children and their families, with relevant experience through placements or employment highly regarded.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt therapeutic approaches to the individual needs, interests and engagement style of clients.
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents and carers.
  • Commitment to reflective practice, supervision, feedback and ongoing professional development.
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain before commencement, appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance and an Australian Business Number.
  • Access to a computer with a webcam and microphone, reliable internet, and an appropriate private workspace at home.
  • Experience providing telehealth services, or a willingness to learn.

Why Join Us?

  • A supported transition from postgraduate training into private practice.
  • Be part of an innovative therapeutic gaming project using Minecraft to support children and families.
  • Comprehensive training in Legend Land and telehealth delivery.
  • Supportive individual and group supervision with a strong focus on professional development.
  • Flexible contractor arrangements, including choice of working days and caseload.
  • Opportunity to develop skills in neurodiversity-affirming child and adolescent psychology.
