Hybrid Occupational Therapist – Hunter Region

$80,000 – $110,000 (pro rata, based on experience and days worked)

About The Role

This is a hybrid position combining clinic-based, telehealth, and community work within your local area.

Your week may include:

• Clinic-based therapy sessions
• Telehealth appointments from home
• Community visits (e.g. preschools, schools, or client homes within your LGA)
• Assessment, therapy, and report writing across a mixed caseload (infants to adults)

We’ll work with you to create a schedule and caseload that suits your preferences and strengths.

What Support Looks Like

You’ll be set up to do your job well from day one:

• Dedicated therapy room and laptop
• iPad for AAC and therapy-based apps
• “Go pack” with therapy resources for community work
• Access to a work car or travel reimbursement
• Full admin support for scheduling and coordination
• Assistance from Allied Health Assistants (AHAs)

Once established, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Supervise students or junior clinicians
• Contribute to team development
• Present in team PD sessions

You’ll also receive:

• Regular supervision (internal and external if needed)

• Generous PD allowance + up to 3 days paid PD leave (pro rata)

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a qualification in Occupational Therapy (AHPRA registration)
• Is interested in or aligned with neurodiversity-affirming practice
• Has strong communication skills and enjoys working with a diverse client group
• Values teamwork but is also confident working independently
• Is interested in growing into mentoring or leadership over time

You’ll also need:

• Working With Children Check
• First Aid & CPR
• National Police Check
• NSW Health-compliant vaccinations
