We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Perioperative Team. As the Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager, you will be part of a team where your leadership shapes the patient experience and the culture of care.

Working with our dedicated group of VMOs, your own team and the Executive team, the Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager will be aligned with our vision and with our values of Connect, Unify and Challenge.

About Adeney Private Hospital
Adeney Private Hospital is a joint venture between a group of doctors and Medibank Private. The hospital is majority owned by the doctors, providing high quality, affordable healthcare. It is the first hospital in Australia that does not charge insured patients (Medibank and BUPA) any out-of-pocket expenses, across all specialties.

Adeney is a right stay hospital, where both the prehabilitation and rehabilitation care are delivered outside the hospital, providing continuity for patients when they are discharged.

Our key surgical specialties are Orthopaedics, ENT, General, Colorectal, Urology, Plastics, Upper GI, Breast and Endocrine, and Vascular. There is also a Medical Infusion Centre, Day of Surgery Unit, four operating rooms and an endoscopy suite.

Pharmacy and Radiology services (including CT scanning) are available on site.

To be successful, you will have:

    Current AHPRA Registration and a Bachelor of Nursing

    Minimum 3-5 years' postgraduate experience in a Perioperative environment

    Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty i.e. management/business (highly desirable)

    Contemporary Private Hospital experience

    Australian work authorisation is required for this position

An experienced Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager with a passion for engaging with your staff and key stakeholders you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

    Goal driven with a desire and ability to achieve set targets

    Self-motivated

    Well organized

    Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management

    Successful management of Budgets and attainment of budgetary targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
