Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to manage an NDIS participant base. You will be required to manage a varied clinical caseload.

This includes providing treatment, guidance and education to individuals and their carer's. You will be part of a supportive and passionate Allied Health team with a recognised and respected employer.

You will have support from an experienced OT Clinical Director and the flexibility and autonomy to manage your workload and time. You must be willing to travel into the community, as required, to deliver services to your participants.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Provide clinical leadership and participate in the development, identification, implementation and evaluation of quality, service improvement.

·        Capacity Building Independence Programs to improve functional independence, including the assessment of daily living capabilities.

·        Develop evidenced based, therapeutic programs in accordance with prescribed ethical and professional standards.

·        Engage in clinical supervision, professional education to develop clinical practice, knowledge and expertise and to maintain relevant credentialing requirements.

·        Implement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical Occupational Therapy, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care and improve participants care.

·        Mentor and Support Occupational therapist.

·        Investigation of housing options including major and minor home modification recommendations.

·        Deliver high level Occupational Therapy based on OT Models of practice.

·        Prescription of equipment and assistive technologies

About you

·        Experience as an OT (5 years +)

·        Approved tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy

·        Current registration with AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency)

·        A genuine passion for working with individuals with a disability

·        Positive and client-centred professional with great communication skills and the ability to engage with clients living with varying disabilities.

·        Current C Class Drivers License Qld or NSW – essential and access to own vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed by Aspire Allied Health.

·        It is a requirement of this role that the employee be immunised against the following vaccine preventable diseases – measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, hepatitis A and pertussis.

·        Current CPR and First Aid Certificates

·        Eligibility to work in Australia
