Job title: Occupational Therapist

Hours: Flexible Hours/Full time/part time/casual

Salary: up to $90K (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

This role would suit an experienced physiotherapist in the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to diversify your clinical skills across a broad range of service areas including:

• Hand therapy
• Contracture management
• Spasticity management
• Home environment assessment
• Cognitive assessment and Functional assessment
• Upper limb functional program
• Simple and complex home modifications
• Mobility aids and equipment prescription
• Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme trials and applications
• Oedema and Lymphedema management
• Community access retraining
• NDIS AT assessment and reporting. 

New Graduate occupational therapists with community home environment experience can apply.

Utilise good verbal and written communication skills in complex situations with competing demands and service needs.

With support from senior clinical staff, provide clinical education relating to routine tasks for students, and orientation for less experienced staff.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A qualified physiotherapist with general AHPRA registration.
• An energetic, professional manner with excellent communication skills.
• Current Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• Business acumen and motivation to achieve financial targets.
• Current drivers’ licence.
• Strong problem solving and problem solving skills.
• Unrestricted Australian Work rights

Qualifications / Experience Required:

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or above

Current Registration (AHPRA)

Multilingual preferred

Current Professional Indemnity Insurance or willing to obtain

Current public liability insurance

Previous experience in a Community setting preferred

Understanding and appreciation of client-centred, holistic care

Knowledge and understanding of Govt Funded Home Care Packages

Current Police check, First Aid and CPR
