The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our diverse and unique team.

You will enjoy the advantage of working in multiple areas of treatment, working with toddlers, preschool and primary school-aged children and teens; all with a range of developmental needs.

You will provide a range of specialist services within a clinic environment to individual or group clients.  You will communicate with the parents/guardians with all aspects of service delivery including planning, decision making and review.  You will provide school based or home visits when required.

As part of our team, you will have the chance to work with a range of other services including; Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama, Dance and Social Work.

You will supervise graduate Occupational Therapists and have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate Occupational Therapists. 

You will have the opportunity to re-develop/shape the Occupational Therapy gym resources.

  • Flexibility - you will have the ability to provide therapy via a variety of settings and platforms, including face-to-face sessions, group or online tele-health sessions.
  • Negotiable options - Part-time & Saturday work and the option for late shifts are available. Online sessions for therapists that need to work from home is also an option i.e., parents with young children who are keen to return to work or even therapists who find it difficult to travel or live-in rural Victoria.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children with an ASD within a clinical environment
  • NDIS Worker Screening 
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children Check
  • Group therapy experience (advantageous)
  • A team member who; adores children and loves to see them achieve goals, has initiation and passion to create opportunities for our clients, enjoys working in a diverse team and learning about their team mates, wants to make each day a happy one for not just themselves, but their clients and colleagues, enjoys a laugh and FUN!
