Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately, adhering to legal and ethical standards, and ensure patient safety through thorough medication reviews and counselling.
• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care by conducting medication management reviews, offering clinical interventions, and providing expert advice on drug therapy and disease management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure seamless continuity of care and effective communication regarding patient treatment plans.
• Promote and administer vaccinations to eligible patients, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up care.
• Engage in patient counselling and education, ensuring clear understanding of medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens.
• Manage inventory levels, place orders, and maintain accurate records of controlled substances and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards governing the practice of pharmacy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree recognised in Australia.
• Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
