Occupational Therapist – Pediatric Focus (Hervey Bay & Fraser Coast QLD)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist with a pediatric interest to join a growing community health service across Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast. This role is presented by a recruitment agency working with local providers to fill a key clinical position that supports children and families through goal-focused therapy, early intervention, and school-based programs.

• Deliver client-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address sensory, motor, self-care, play, and participation goals.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote functional outcomes.
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions using evidence-based approaches.
• Contribute to service development, community outreach, and capacity-building activities.
• Provide professional supervision and mentoring when required and participate in case reviews.

• You hold current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
• At least 1–2 years of clinical experience, ideally including pediatric caseloads or community practice.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage children, families, schools, and allied health colleagues.
• Flexible, reliable, and capable of working across multiple community sites within the Fraser Coast region.
