Tanya Boyd Speech Pathology is a private paediatric speech pathology clinic, which strives to make a positive difference in the lives of pre-school and school aged children with communication difficulties, by providing a client focused service with clear goals and treatment plans.

Tanya Boyd Speech Pathology primarily assesses and treats pre-school and school aged children who are at risk of developing or who already demonstrate developmental delays and specific communication difficulties.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join a dynamic and supportive private practice in East Keilor.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Assess and diagnose clients with a range of communication disorders, including developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Social Emotional challenges and Learning difficulties
  • Treat and manage a caseload effectively and ethically.
  • Work in the clinic and may outsource to schools/preschools
  • Review clients as necessary based on individual needs.
  • Write reports in relation to assessments and Medicare requirements.
  • Adopt a multidisciplinary approach in treating clients by working with teachers, psychologists and other health care professionals to achieve the best outcomes for clients and their families.
  • Participate in team meetings as required and be willing to be part of a team.

Desirable Experience:

  • Skills and experience in the assessment and management of common presenting issues
  • Minimum of 2–3-year experience with a diverse range of clients preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with preschool and school age children.
  • Knowledge and experience in the support of children on the Autism Spectrum and other developmental delays.

Prerequisites include:

  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia and eligibility for enrollment in the SPA self-regulation program.
  • A current drivers license.
  • Current Working with Children Check. 
  • Must have own Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
  • Proficient communication, organisational and computer skills.
  • Caring interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to responsibilities of this significant role.

You will be working as part of a small, dedicated team with the opportunity to work with and be supported by a speech pathologist with almost 20 years clinical experience managing a paediatric caseload.
