Pharmacy Manager - Kewarra Beach

This pharmacy is an independent pharmacy located in Kewarra Beach, approximately 20km north of Cairns CBD. 


Position Description:
Are you an experienced community minded Pharmacist with a passion for leadership, looking to take your career to the next level?
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team in Kewarra Beach, Far North Queensland as their new Pharmacist Manager.
 
Why this pharmacy?
They are located in the northern beaches of Cairns and situated right next door to a medical centre. The demographic is extremely varied. As such, this offers a great opportunity for someone looking to experience running a pharmacy, in the hope of future ownership for themselves. Having said that, you have plenty of backup around you. The environment is fantastic and the pharmacy is a thoroughly enjoyable place to work. The pharmacy is small, with emphasis of patient care rather than big box retail. This may appeal to hospital pharmacists wanting to experience retail, but retain their clinical skills.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop the pharmacy team
• Manage the roster
• Ensure smooth operations of the pharmacy
• Maintain high level provision of professional services
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal workplace and pharmacy related legislation and guidelines
• Remain up to date with all legislative and professional requirements, and communicate these to your team
• Deliver on key financial and performance indicators of the pharmacy business, whilst creating strategic ways to achieve and grow the benchmarks

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
• Current General Registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA (without conditions or undertakings)
• Strong and effective communication skills
• Demonstrable experience in management of pharmacy, problem solving and excellent customer service skills
• Goal orientated
• Possess strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
• Must have the right to live and work in Australia
• Must be COVID-19 double vaccinated
