About the opportunity

A career opportunity role for a senior physiotherapist providing clinical, educational, and management expertise to the Wellington Health Service.  You will be the senior clinician in the acute care team, demonstrating advanced reasoning skills in the provision of clinical care, clinical supervision, and support and exercise of independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing complex situations.  Your clinical advice and support will also be extended to colleagues in other locations within our health district.

You’ll plan, implement, evaluate, and report on services, and identify, develop, and lead ongoing quality improvement activities to improve patient care. Staff management, including recruitment, leadership, development, and performance management is part of the role and you will be responsible for managing the resources of the physiotherapy team to deliver efficient and effective service.

Wellington is the second oldest town west of the Blue Mountains and is located less than half an hour from the regional hub of Dubbo and just over an hour from the picturesque town of Orange in the state’s Central West.

Wellington Health Service is a 12-bed sub-acute facility and includes a 24-hour Emergency Department, Ambulatory Care Services, Renal Dialysis, Methadone Clinic, and weekly Dental services.

A range of allied health services operate from Wellington Health Service and a number of visiting services including Drug and Alcohol services and Psychiatry services also operate from the facility.
