About the role


As a  Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing community based physiotherapy services; supporting individual and group based clinical programs for clients to improve or maintain good health in a caring, responsive and flexible manner.

The physiotherapist will work within the allied health team, maintaining professional relationships as outlined, facilitating assessment, review and programs for clients while ensuring compliance with all regulatory groups both internally and externally.

Duties will include:

  • Implement and review evidenced based interventions/clinical programs pertaining to physiotherapy (land and water based, group and individual) to guide assessment, treatment, consultancy, referrals and discharge of clients referred to the Eric Hart Centre Allied Health Team.
  • Work with CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Program) and other organisational (NDIS, DVA) guidelines providing relevant documentation and statistics as evidence of compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a network with community based partnerships to ensure successful preventative and educational programs targeting frail elderly clients or people with disabilities.
  • Utilise outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions where able and present findings to the Allied Health team.
  • Maintain accurate records for all client interventions, including and not limited to assessment/s, treatment and evaluation, in accordance with genU’s policy and procedures.
About You

To be successful in this role it is a requirement that you:

  • Have a degree or diploma in Physiotherapy from a University or Educational Institution recognized by the Australian Physiotherapy Association, with current Australian registration (APHRA) to allow practice as a Physiotherapist
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a Physiotherapist
  • Experience working with older adults in a community setting or rehabilitation experience
  • Level 2 First Aid- or willingness to obtain, and current CPR qualification
  • Demonstrated ability work independently and within a team
  • Professional written, oral and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
  • Strong computer skills
