The opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join the expert team at Ballarat OSM.  Ballarat OSM is the centre of Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine excellence for Ballarat and the Victorian Western district.  Patients no longer have the need to travel from country Victoria to Melbourne as we bring excellence to the country with our highly driven and credentialed team. 

We are located in an historic 1880’s building in the heart of the Ballarat Medical precinct.

At Ballarat OSM you will work with a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports and Exercise Medicine Physicians, Practice Nurses, Physiotherapists and Psychology. 

Our team manages a large range of sporting and orthopaedic injuries.  We offer acute injury management, preventative medicine, sporting event coverage, sports team coverage, pre-operative and post-operative management.

The team at Ballarat OSM are always developing and progressing their fields and conduct research through our research arm, Novar Musculoskeletal Research Institute (NMRI) which was founded in 2020.  We also partner with key research stakeholders to advance our professions and the quality of care for patients in our area.

The team at Ballarat OSM are regional leaders in their various fields and offer education to local practitioners to promote optimal management of our patients in the Western District.

Luke Blunden is the Head Physiotherapist at Ballarat OSM who is a titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and an Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner.  Luke offers excellence in Orthopaedic and Sports medicine mentoring to team members. Luke has strength and conditioning qualifications and is a sessional teacher for the school of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University.
