Practice Nurse RN

About the role

We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team at Blue Shield Family General Practice in Kogarah, NSW. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting general practitioners in the delivery of clinical care to patients

• Conducting health assessments, administering vaccinations, and managing chronic conditions

• Coordinating and implementing health promotion and disease prevention programs

• Providing patient education and support, ensuring they understand their treatment plans

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical documentation

• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care

• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current AHPRA registration

• Demonstrated experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting

• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and the broader healthcare team

• Proficient in using clinical software and technology to support patient care

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Current CPR certification and immunisation provider status

• Experience with Best Practice software or similar clinical management systems

• Demonstrated competency in wound care, ECG administration, and cold chain management

• Minimum 2 years' experience in general practice or primary healthcare setting

• Eligibility to work in Australia and current Working with Children Check
