Practice Registered Nurse Required in Mascot GP clinic

We are seeking 1-2 part time experienced practice nurse to join our supportive and friendly team in mixed billing GP clinic. We are a modern, computerised practice dedicated to providing the community with personalised, professional and high quality health care.

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Current CPR and Immunisation Accreditation certificate (qualified NSW immuniser)
• Understand the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality
• Strive to improve both yourself and workplace
• Strong communication,  time management and multi-task skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Well-developed computer skills
• Minimal 6 month experience in general practice

Key responsibilities will consist but not limited to:

• Triage and result management
• Immunisation – children, adult & travel vaccines
• Support doctors, including health assessment and chronic disease management plans, especially ensuring doctors’ requests are met
• Preparing and assisting in minor procedure
• Competency in general practice nursing duties, such as cold chain management, vaccine order, ECG, ear syringes, doctor’s bag management, wound care, management of medical supplies and equipment
• Assisting with accreditation process
• Managing and monitoring infection controls
• Liaise with allied health services and other health care providers
