Registered Nurse – General Practice

Berrimah Family Practice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our general practice team in Berrimah, NT.

This is a full-time role, although permanent part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. The position would suit an experienced RN who enjoys working in primary care and wants to be part of a busy, GP clinic environment.

About the role

You will work closely with our doctors, reception team and clinic management to support high-quality patient care across a broad range of general practice nursing duties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Chronic disease management support, including care plans and health assessments
• Immunisations and vaccine management
• Wound care and dressings
• ECGs, observations and general treatment room duties
• Assisting doctors with minor procedures
• Recalls, reminders and preventative health activities
• Supporting MyMedicare and patient registration workflows
• Maintaining accurate clinical records in Best Practice
• Helping improve clinic systems, patient follow-up and care coordination

About you

The successful applicant will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous nursing experience, ideally in general practice or primary health care
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence working in a busy clinic environment
• A proactive, team-focused approach
• An interest in chronic disease management, preventative health and improving patient outcomes

Experience with Best Practice, care plans, health assessments, immunisations and recall/reminder systems will be highly regarded, but training can be provided for the right person.

Remuneration

Hourly rate will be negotiated based on experience and suitability for the role.
