• Experience as a practice nurse
• Immunisation accredited
• Willingness to seek continuing nurse education
• Up to date knowledge of autoclave sterilisation

JOB SUMMARY

• Provides care in the general practice environment
• Responsible for ensuring excellent patient care and efficient systems are maintained
• Supervise nursing staff and medical practice assistants
• Nursing duties include wound management, immunisation, ECG and spirometry, triaging of patients and assisting medical practitioners
• Ensure that infection control protocols are maintained
• Manage immunisation and chronic disease management clinics
• Manage patient recall systems
• Follow up of absent Doctors including pathology, radiology and special reports are attended to.
